Version one unlocks when you beat two bosses from any of the 4 different wings.
Version two unlocks when you beat all 4 different wings.
I was expecting a very hard mission against El Sueno but it turned out to be just cinematic with story telling. Good closure to the story line at least, both endings have a interesting twist involving agent Bowman.
